I thought maybe it should be on the most recent version of 6 to be able to update to 7. In the beginning, when I checked an available update it appeared to me that 6.49.6 is the most recent version. I worked according to Mikrotik's docs, where it says to update the RouterOS to the newest version before updating the modem, so I did it that way. I was version 6.48.4 and a modem version of 25 so I said it was time to update to the latest versions that are available.
